Greetings Gamers!
I, James, opened Game Universe late in 2003 and the last 13 years has been a blast. We have grown to 3 stores and have become a premier destination for your gaming needs and events. I’m very proud of what we have accomplished and the friends I have made along the way.
It is, however, time for me to retire from the game store business. But, have no fear, the stores are being sold to our current Managers. This means that almost everything will remain the same for you: our valued customers. Andy Rowe will be purchasing the Franklin and Brookfield stores and keeping the name Game Universe and it’s website. Bob Kohn will be purchasing the Menomonee Falls store and changing the name to TK Games. This will be effective November 1st, 2016. I’m sure they will have some great new ideas and plans for the future and they will both be given copies of our mailing list and memberships.
I know change can be confusing and worrisome so let me outline a few details here:
All events will remain on the schedule and hours will stay the same. FNM will not change as the stores retain their full Advanced status with WOTC so there will be plenty of event support.
The current Game Universe gift cards will continue to be used and honored in the Franklin and Brookfield locations. In Menomenee Falls you’ll be able to turn in your card for credit on the new system they’ll be using. Rest assured, it is not our intent to let anyone loose out on the transition of these cards.
Memberships will be honored as is for now, but they are likely to be changed in the near future to best suit the new owners.
We will be closed Monday, October 31st so we can take inventory to finalize the sale of the stores. That means any game groups that normally meet that day will not have a place to meet, please be aware.
To celebrate this good news (as it is indeed that) and to help with the transfer of inventory to the new owners, we’ll be holding a storewide sale of 25% off everything (except CCG Collectables and Food) at all 3 stores through the month of October. We will also be offering 50% off all of our metal reaper miniatures as well as a 75% off clearance table.
I will still be operating Minion Games so I encourage you to join the mailing list found on:
and feel free to friend me on Facebook:
Happy gaming and thanks for all the memories!

James Mathe
